A Legacy in Retail, A Heart for Women

Aloha and welcome! I’m Brit, the owner and founder, with a simple mission: to style the unique beauty of every customer who walks through my doors.

I come from a family legacy of retailers; my grandparents pioneered discount clothing stores in the 70s and 80s. Mom started her first store in La Jolla when I was just 3, eventually owning 8 stores. Growing up, working in these stores, we became a family with our customers, helping them find their style.

In 2000, I opened my first store, juggling it while raising my two boys and hitting the road to sell merchandise nationwide.

Then I made the choice to retire to the lovely island of Kaua’i and open Coutured, a special place for women. We carry top brands, make new friends, laugh, vent— there’s never a dull moment.
